Edmund I. "Skip" Eveleth

    Skip has had a remarkable career in aviation and other pursuits. Skip contacted us after he had heard about our project. He was a test engineer on the Pratt and Whitney R-1535. Skip has written a book, "Achievers" in which he documents (among many other things) his association with Howard Hughes. Howard was keenly interested in obtaining data regarding the R-1535. Howard called Skip on a number of occasions to talk about the performance curves of the engine. Interestingly, all calls Howard made to Skip were collect calls!
